Independence Day – Fighting Covid 19
Saturday 4th July, Independence Day and the reopening of UK Pubs…..instead of going to the Pub, Drive Hart Directors decided to set off to the Donor Unit at Southampton Hospital to support the Convalescent Plasma Project in the fight against Covid 19, and successfully donated two bags of plasma. We would definitely recommend donating – the Donor Unit was spotless, free secure parking, and totally Covid Secure….in fact we were followed around by Disinfectant Bob – a friendly volunteer who sprayed everything we touched. The NHS Nurses and staff at the Unit were brilliant and we got crisps and biscuits to boot!…..Please consider volunteering your plasma if you think you may have had Covid, it only takes a couple of hours, and it could save someones life.
